T540E HU1 is owned by Michel Rechede who lives in Pau.
HU1 was sold to Peter Morgan on the 26th April 1978 who used it to win that year's BRDC Esso Championship also taking 4th in the RAC Championship. Although sponsored by Checkmate Carpets lack of finance hampered him all season.
It was then sold in Switzerland by Heini Mader and it was then owned by Rhyn Walter 1987 and Daniel Schilling 1989. It then passed to Michele Rechede in 2000 when it was restored.
